Game Viewing

All the animals on the farm are within walking distance and can often be seen around the Chalets and Mountain View Suites. They are also fed daily at 08:00 and 16:00 in front of the main house, which is a wonderful time to view them up close.

At Klein Karoo Game Lodge, birdwatching and nature walks offer an immersive experience through the region’s diverse landscapes, where guests can spot over 160 bird species and explore unique succulent habitats. Klein Karoo Game Lodge is ideally situated to explore Oudtshoorn’s rich cultural and natural attractions, such as the Cango Caves, a 20-million-year-old limestone wonder with guided tours showcasing stunning stalactites and stalagmites, and the CP Nel Museum, which highlights the region’s ostrich feather boom and cultural history in a historic sandstone building. Nature lovers can visit the Rust en Vrede Waterfall, a serene spot 35km away in the Swartberg Mountains, or embark on the Swartberg Pass, a scenic drive offering breathtaking views of the Klein Karoo’s diverse flora and fauna, part of the Cape Floral World Heritage Site.
